Woodwoodwood!

This week I have been hard at work on the wood treatment for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's upcoming production of The Cocoanuts.

This video shows my technique. While this wood grain itself was designed to be simple and cartoony, there were five double-sided doors to cover, and in a complex pattern which was very time consuming.

I was able to paint these five double-sided doors as well as the five arched doorways, baseboards and crown molding and twenty hours.
